A slow computer should be a thing of the past. In this day of innovations and technology, having a slow personal computer will really make you feel living in the Jurassic era. It is for this reason that we usually find  how to speed up their personal computers.

If you are experiencing this, then you just came to correct place. Its true that there are several ways involve in speeding up a PC. But then again, these uncomplicated things are worth a try.

Here are some ways to speed up my Windows:

> Its irritating to wait for menu delays. Lessen the time it takes for menu transitions by right-clicking your desktop. Select Properties and Select the Effects tab. Unchoose the Animate windows menu lists. For Windows XP users, you can do this by right-clicking on the desktop, choosing Properties, choosing the Appearance tab, selecting the Effects option and deselect Use the following transition effects for menus and tooltips, then Choose OK.

> Speed up Windows Start Up by cleaning out the applications you dont need at start-up. For Windows 98 users, you can do this by Start menu and clicking Run. Type in MSConfig.exe and hit OK button select the Start up tab then unchoose the programs you wish to stopthroughout the startup. As you see, you can only speed start up Windows if you decrease the softwares that PC needs to wake up.

> Defragment also helps to speed up your PC. search for the defrag option under your System Tools menu from the Accessories or Start Tab. Be sure that you dedicate a time for defragging. Operating varied applications while on defrag limits the process itself.

> Choosing to install your applications is recommended if you always experience errors. Always scan your PC for viruses before backing up any files. Also, make sure that you have a back up copy of your harware drives before erasing files from your hard drvies Reinstalling your program takes at least an hour or so

> This is a very basic tip that you should regularly do: Remove any unused programs. Programs, though you are using them or not, take up space in your hard disk. If you arent using them, then remove them.
